I finally found the fast way to label and sync sound and picture in Final Cut. I have about two more scenes left and I think I can get some editing speed going. It would be wonderful if somebody here in Wallace wanted to learn this and could afford an iMac and software. The problem with teaching editing is just that. There is a huge initial setup cost then to pay for lessons isn't feasible. I taught myself from online tutorials and Youtube videos. The finer aspects come from Jean Pierre's book and silent movies he suggested. When you're a one-man band there are so many decisions to make and this is where real headway and innovation can be made in visual storytelling. It's interesting to see what was done with film nearly 100 years ago, that we think is so novel today.
