When I think of the whole job ahead it's hard to take the next step. Maybe it's because I've written a whole feature length script this time and am trying to do it all in my head. I woke up at 1:30am and could not for the life of me get back to sleep. Every aspect of film production was running through my head. There was also a positive letter from four cast and crew members that made me realize, I'm not alone here and I'd better get a move on. I was distracted at the first of the week by meetings in Spokane and Coeur d' Alene. The Spokane meeting looked like something that could generate money. It didn't and became a waste of several hours writing a game plan for a narrative thread that in the end was not even wanted for a PSA. I visited the Boys and Girls Club facility in Northtown and met Erin. What a wonderful thing they are doing for kids who don't have a solid home life. After that I looked for set dressings for the back yard scene, had a Round Table pizza, then attended a script writing meeting in Coeur d' Alene. The day was not wasted in anyway. Several people there want to work on the next episode and a couple of them even worked on Z-Nation. I'm not the only one with financial problems who wants only to work on movies. Many positive things from the first of the week, but it wore me out. I drove home over the pass in one of our March blizzards and was nearly run off the road by 18 wheelers splashing slush over my entire car. I regret involving Joni in the PSA venture that didn't work out. But it was possible money and exposure in Eastern Washington so who knows how this will work out.
