We had the second editing session yesterday. Rachel Arno is scrubbing Distant Location from a distant location and I'm making changes that should tighten up the film, or make it better. This process is a real life saver for me because I've been taking a medication for a certain genetic condition that has come upon me and the drug makes my brain pretty fuzzy. Rachel has found omissions and outright blanks in the timeline that I overlooked. With the screening coming up on the 7th of April I need all the help I can get.
Brother Victor was at Rachel's editing location. We talked for quite awhile about his new band, Cats With Class and one of my favorite drummers Buddy Rich. It's great to see them playing so many places and with the new social media their name is getting out there fast. More updates on the editing and additions later.
